Filed under: Announcements, Apple, Contests, Dollars, Prizes, Tech, Video, Web 2.0, iPod — imindraneel @ 12:42 am

Dabble, the video aggregating site, is having a little challenge. In short, there’s a daily contest everyday until the end of December. What you do is make playlists based on the theme for the day, posted here

The winner of each daily contest is automatically guarenteed a spot in the final round, with a chance to win 500 dollars (US) or a video iPod.

Dabble!

If you go here now, you’ll see my user name, indraneel24, as the winner for the 19th! So register for a free account at Dabble, link above, and if you want, vote for my final playlist (it will be here) from noon on New Year’s Eve, till noon, New Year’s Day. If you don’t want to vote, I won’t force you (but, please!), you can always use Dabble’s great video searching tools or make a playlist of your own.

If the links above broke, here they are:

Filed under: New, Nintendo, Shopping, Tech, Wii — imindraneel @ 8:29 pm

Or the strap at least, as Nintendo is replacing 3.2 Million Wiimote straps.

Beefy

So if you have a Wii, get your replacements soon. If you don’t have a Wii, they’re probably starting to include the new straps with all consoles.

David Stern Caves December 12, 2006

And announces that the NBA will switch back to the reputable, leather ball.

NO MORE!!!!

Why did the NBA switch in the first place? Cold. Hard. Cash.

Why are they switching back? The league’s stars, such as 2-times-running MVP Steve Nash says it cuts the players’ hands. It also has been horrible for the shooters (see New Jersey Nets).

A la the Simpsons, Hooray Status Quo!

Put Any Folder on Your Desktop October 20, 2006

Filed under: Cool Apps, Desktop, Microsoft, Toolbars — imindraneel @ 9:10 pm

Hmm… just stumbled upon this. I dragged the My Computer icon from my desktop to the top of my screen, and this was made!MyComputer Toolbar

I tried it with numerous folders and it works. When you have multiple folders in the same bar, it sort of ‘tabs’ them, and whence you double click on the name of the folder, it slides to it. Or you can click a drop down menu next to the name and see the contents of your folder. Pretty cool eh? No? Okay…
